Aysha

by Fon Cortizo

Aysha is a young energetic voice emerging from the Middle East. Poetry and creativity are her weapons with which to change an expectant post-Arab-Spring society.

Synopsis

The Arab Spring brought a whole generation back into the streets who felt removed from real-life Jordan. Little remains of that visibly uneasy time in Amman. Aysha recites ideas for change that attack indifference. Her words in English dodge the stricter censorship of Arab verse.

Months back, Aysha gave up her job in order to launch a creative project fighting against the barriers and resistance of a male-biased world.
